Location - The hotel in the heart of the city
Getting around the city is easy when you stay at the Hotel Central. We are located in the very center of the Zagreb, opposite main railway station and close to the bus station with a terminal for Zagreb.
All of the attractions, such as the cathedral, the Stone Gate, and the Grički cannon are not far away on foot. While going to the main city square, pass by the Art Pavilion on King Tomislav Square and Zrinjevac Park, whose colors at different times of the year will take your breath away. Government buildings and the business quarter are a short distance away with public transport.
Buses and trams are part of a good network that links the center of the city with others part of town and with the rich surrounding area. Trakoščan castle; Stubička dolina, which is well-known as the scene of battles during the Peasants’ Rebellion; or Krapina, which is known for the discovery of the remains of a Neanderthal man, will all certainly be worth your time.
All of our guests, whether they are tourists or on a business trip, appreciate our location because of the easy access to the Zagreb Airport. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there is a stop for the convertible “hop-on hop-off” bus and a Segway location for the complete enjoyment of the atmosphere and charm of Zagreb.
Arriving from the Airport
The best way to arrive at the hotel is by taxi. You can also take the Croatia Airlines bus which transfers passengers after each flight to the Zagreb Bus Station (approximately a 20 minutes ride), and then take the number 2 or 6 tram from the Bus Station to the Main Railway Station (3 tram stops and 7 minutes ride).
Arriving from the Zagreb Bus Station
Take the number 2 or 6 tram to the Main Railway Station (3 tram stops and 7 minutes ride). Go back for 80 metres (app. 250 ft) and here we are.
Arriving from the Main Railway Station
Exit the Railway station and look to your right. We are here. Close, aren’t we?

From: Maribor/Graz. Follow the sign for center, drive until crossroad with Ljubljanska Avenue, make a left, drive straight until crossroad with Drziceva Street, turn left, drive straight (check point main bus station on your left) after the bus station turn left in to Branimirova Street, drive straight (main railway station on your left), we are here.
From: Budapest/Varazdin.Follow the sign center, drive until crossroad with Slavonska Avenue, turn right, drive straight until crossroad with Drziceva Street, turn right, drive straight, (check point main bus station on your left) after the bus station turn left in to Branimirova Street, drive straight (main railway station on your left), we are here.
From Karlovac/Rijeka/Split. Follow the sign for center, drive with Jadranska Avenue onto Avenue Dubrovnik, then straight to the end and turn left (check point, bridge over Rive Sava), drive straight (check point main bus station on the left), after the bus station turn left onto Branimirova Street, drive straight (main railway station on the left), we are here.
From: Airport Pleso/Sisak. Follow the sign for center, drive straight until crossroad with Avenue Dubrovnik, turn right, then straight to the end and turn left (check point, bridge over Rive Sava), drive straight (check point main bus station on the left), after the bus station turn left onto Branimirova Street, drive straight (main railway station on the left), we are here.
From: Slavonski Brod/Lipovac/Osijek/Belgrade.
